Punjabi Superstar Going Beyond India’s Music Diaspora

Diljit Dosanjh, widely known as the ‘Super Singh of Punjab’, has recently announced a partnership with Warner Music. Although Dosanjh has already found fame as an actor, singer, songwriter, and television presenter, this is the first time he’d signed a deal with a major record company.

According to the press release, Dosanjh will be working with Warner Music to expand his global music career. And collaboration to release singles with Canadian rapper Tory Lanex and Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz.

With already thirteen studio albums, Dosanjh is already a household name as one of Punjabi music’s leading artists. G.O.A.T, his 2020 album, was featured on Billboard’s Global Chart and went Top 20 in Canada. Lover, his latest track, has garnered more than 68 million views on Youtube.

I’ve already started working with some of Warner Music’s artists from other countries and it’s proving an exhilarating creative process. Diljit Dosanjh’s commercially successful Bollywood and Punjabi movies of all time include — appearing in the likes of Honsla Rakh, Jatt & Juliet, Jatt & Juliet 2, Punjab 1984, Sardaar Ji, Super Singh, Sajjan Singh Rangroot, Shadaa, and Udta Punjab.
