Beni Fadi sings to save his culture from oblivion

The artist, who describes himself as a “fighter” in the service of his culture, released his first album Farkoko in collaboration with the Rise and ElectrAfrique collectives. The album is a means to raise awareness of the Bédik people, a little-known ethnic group from southern Senegal whose language and culture are threatened with extinction.
