Upcoming K-pop concerts, tours and music festivals in Asia: BTS’ Suga, Taeyeon, IVE and more

Borders are open, live music is back and the K-pop touring cycle is in full swing. Stars including BTS‘ Suga, IVE and NCT Dream are touring the world with new tunes in tow – and hitting Asia very soon.

While some of those artists are staging their own headline shows, others are on the line-ups of music festivals with both multi-genre and Hallyu-only line-ups. The announcements have been coming thick and fast of late so NME‘s decided to help with a handy list of K-pop concerts and music festivals in Asia for 2023.

The Agust D Tour – Singapore and Seoul

Suga, who also goes by his other stage name Agust D, will be the first BTS member to embark on a world tour solo, starting with its US leg in late April through to late May. The rapper will then be taking his show over to Asia with six shows across Bangkok, Singapore and Seoul. According to the original tour announcement, Suga will also be visiting Japan as part of the Agust D tour.

Less than a year after their first-ever world tour, which saw the boyband hitting major cities across the Americas, Europe and Asia, The Boyz have surprised fans with an announcement of their second world tour. After a three-day kick-off in Seoul, the group will be heading to Japan and major Asian cities before taking their show to the rest of the world.

SEEN Festival in Vietnam

24,000 tickets will be tickets up for grabs, but prices and sale information have yet to be revealed.

Following a successful run in Kuala Lumpur earlier this year, SEEN Festival is set to hold its second event of the year in Vietnam this June. The upcoming festival boasts a stacked two-day line-up, with  Big Bang‘s Taeyang, BoA, former UP10TION and X1 member Kim Woo-seok and South Korean DJ Raiden set to perform on Day 1.

Meanwhile, Day 2 will see performances by aespa, Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon, co-ed group KARD and MONSTA X‘s Kihyun, who will also be joined by Thai boyband Trinity.

‘Act: Sweet Mirage’ world tour in Asia – Bulacan

MOA pre-sale begins June 1 while Live Nation PH pre-sale begins June 2, both at 9:45am. General sales begin June 3 from 11:45am. Prices range from PHP3,750 to PHP17,750.

In support of their latest mini-album ‘The Name Chapter: Temptation‘, Tomorrow X Together (TXT) are embarked on their ‘Act: Sweet Mirage’ world tour earlier this year. Following successful concerts in Taipei, Singapore and Japan, the boyband have announced a new date in the Philippines this August.

Starship Entertainment boyband CRAVITY are finally embarking on their first-ever world tour this year, beginning with a two-day kick-off in Seoul in May. From June, the group will be taking their concert to Japan before heading for the North American leg of the tour, and later return to major Asian cities between July to October.

Over a year after their debut, K-pop monster rookies IVE are finally holding their first-ever standalone concerts. First launched in Korea and Japan in February, ‘The Prom Queens’ Asia tour will hit several other Asian cities later this year, following the release of the girl group’s highly-anticipated debut studio album ‘I’ve IVE’.

Nearly three and a half years since her last solo concert, Girls’ Generation leader and soloist Taeyeon is set to return to the stage later this year with a momentous two-day show at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, making her the fifth-ever female soloist to do so. She will later head to Hong Kong, Taipei and Manila though it is not yet known if these dates are part of a larger tour.

Wasting no time after their April 2023 debut with ‘Perfume’, NCT subunit DOJAEJUNG are set to hold their first-ever fan concert in Manila this June. While it is not yet known if they will be touring elsewhere in Asia, it will be Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo’s first concert together as a trio.

Following stops in Australia, North America and Europe later this year, TWICE’s ‘Ready To Be’ world tour will finally hit Asia in September. From ‘Like OOH-AHH’ to ‘Set Me Free’, the beloved girl group will be performing their seven-year career’s worth of hits. The Asian leg of the tour will also come after the highly-anticipated debut of Japanese subunit MISAMO, so fans can also hope for a glimpse of the iconic trio in action.
