iKON indefinitely postpones Madrid stop of ‘Take Off’ world tour

K-pop boyband iKON have indefinitely postponed a concert in Madrid later this year, following a recent rescheduling of some dates of their ‘Take Off’ world tour.

In March, the K-pop boyband released an updated poster for their previously-announced ‘Take Off’ world tour, which revealed some scheduling changes. Notably, they had added a show in Seoul, year Manila show has been moved from June to August, while the Singapore concert was no longer listed.

The tour was announced in support of iKON’s third studio album ‘Take Off’, which was released earlier this month. The boyband were originally due to tour Europe, Asia and North America.

However, on May 15, concert organisers Jin Entertainment announced that iKON’s upcoming Madrid show had been postponed indefinitely. The organisers did not specify the reasons behind the change.

“We want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. Please note that we will be refunding all 2023 iKON WORLD TOUR TAKE OFF in Madrid ticket buyers,” it added.

On March 9, organiser Jin Entertainment revealed the dates for the European leg for their ‘Take Off’ world tour – Madrid on June 21, Essen on June, Florence on June 28 and Paris on July 1. Tickets for iKON’s Essen show will go on sale on March 12 at 12pm local time. For more information, keep an eye out on this page.

Some exact dates, venues and ticketing details have yet to be announced. According to the poster for the world tour, more dates are set to be announced in due time.

iKON parted ways with longtime agency YG Entertainment in late December. At the time, YG Entertainment announced that the agency and group had “mutually agreed” to end iKON’s exclusive contract, following a “long and careful discussion” with the group’s members. The group signed with 143 Entertainment the following month.
