On January 16, the septet released their six-track mini-album ‘Stamp On It’ alongside a luxurious visual for its title track of the same name. GOT The Beat had previously given the song its live debut at SM Entertainment’s annual new years concert ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2023: SMCU PALACE@KWANGYA’.

In the new performance-focused visual, the supergroup perform the dynamic choreography to ‘Stamp On It’, at the same time flaunting their collections of luxury cars, jewellery and fine art in solo scenes.

I want it all with elegance, smack down / A vicious shakedown, Mona Lisa smile / With loving eyes, the orbit of yours, I’ll break it down / You’ll turn around to a piece of me, piece of mind,” they sing in the chorus.

In addition to the title track, the new record includes five B-sides, titled ‘Goddess Level’, ‘Alter Ego’, ‘Rose’, ‘Outlaw’ and ‘MALA’.

The release of ‘Stamp On It’ marks the girl group’s first comeback, coming over a year after they made their debut with ‘Step Back’. Like ‘Stamp On It’, that track was first performed on a special stage at ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA’ earlier this year, before it was officially released on South Korean and worldwide music streaming services in January.

Girls On Top are the sixth project group formed by SM Entertainment, an endeavour that began with SM The Ballad in 2010. That group featured members of TVXQ, Girls’ Generation and EXO. In 2019, the label had debuted the boyband SuperM, which was comprised of members from SHINee, EXO, NCT 127 and WayV.

Girls On Top are set to feature the label’s female artists in various combinations and sub-units. The first sub-unit, GOT The Beat, is comprised of soloist BoA, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa’s Winter and Karina.
