On December 30, the eight-member boyband released their special single album ‘Spin Off : From The Witness’, alongside a stunning music video for its title track ‘Halazia’. Like ATEEZ’s music video for their previous single ‘Guerrilla’, the visual for the new song depicts the group in a dystopian setting, as the members attempt to break out from the desolate world they are trapped in.

I can’t feel what it’s like to be alive / Even now, in this momеnt / Colour this infinitely cold world / Be the light, oh, Halazia,” they sing on the powerful chorus.

The new record also includes three remixed B-sides and an outro track titled ‘Blue Bird’. All three B-sides have previously been released in other ATEEZ albums, but are being re-released here as remixes by other artists.

‘Win’ – first released in 2019’s ‘Treasure EP.Fin: All to Action’ – here is remixed by June One of K-indie band Glen Check, while ‘I’m The One’ is remixed by Eden-ary following its initial release as ‘Fireworks (I’m The One)’ in last year’s ‘ZERO : FEVER Part 2’ album. Meanwhile, the ‘Take Me Home (Idiotape Remix)’ is a remake of a B-side off the same ‘ZERO : FEVER Part 2’ album.

‘Spin Off : From The Witness’ marked ATEEZ’s their second domestic comeback in 2022, following their ninth mini-album ‘The World Ep 1: Movement’, which arrived in July with the title track ‘Guerrilla’. Both the record’s title track and B-side ‘Cyberpunk’ made it to NME‘s best K-pop songs of 2022, placing 25th and ninth respectively.

The boyband have since dropped the Japanese counterpart of that record, ‘The World Ep. Paradigm’, as well as a special track titled ‘Like That’ for the opening of Netflix’s original animated series Lookism.

ATEEZ recently completed the North America and East Asia dates of their ‘The Fellowship: Break The Wall’ World Tour. The group will head to Amsterdam in February to kick off the tour’s European leg, which includes stops in London, Madrid and Paris, among others.

At the time of publishing, it is unknown if ATEEZ intend to bring their tour to other regions after wrapping up the European leg in March 2023.
