Lee Bo-young and Son Na-eun butt heads in new ‘Agency’ trailer

JTBC has released a new trailer for its upcoming series Agency, starring Lee Bo-young (Mother) and Son Na-eun.

South Korean cable network JTBC has unveiled a newtrailer for Agency, which stars Lee as the creative director and first-ever female executive of an advertising agency. The upcoming series also stars Jo Sung-ha (Adamas), former Apink member Son Na-eun, Han Joon-woo (The Empire) and My Liberation Notes’ Jeon Hye-jin.

The new teaser begins as Go Ah-in (Lee) and Kang Han-na (Son), the manipulative heiress of VC Group and newly-appointed director of social media, meet for the first time. Although she hopes to step into her role as successor of the conglomerate, Han-na soon realises that she has been thrown in the middle of a fierce rivalry between Ah-in and another skilled director, Choi Chang-soo (Jo Sung-ha) for a top position in the company and throws a tantrum.

Later, she attempts to cosy up to Ah-in, asking if there was anything lacking, to which the latter curtly answers: “Time. Will you stop wasting my time and leave?”. However, the pair eventually seem to find common ground, as Han-na declares that their side is the “winning side”.

According to JTBC, Agency “deals with the process of those desires crashing and exploding like comets,” as translated by Soompi. The upcoming series premieres on January 7 at 10:30pm KST.

In other K-drama news, JTBC’s Reborn Rich has recently become the second highest-rated drama in South Korean cable history ahead of its upcoming finale, overtaking 2018’s SKY Castle. It remains to be seen if the series’ ratings will continue to rise in its final two episodes, which will air on December 24 and 25.
