The Frisco, Texas, police chief issued an apology on Friday after a family from Little Rock, Arkansas, who were headed to a basketball tournament in Grapevine, was mistakenly pulled over in a ?high-risk stop,? after a Frisco officer ran the car?s plates as being from Arizona, instead of Arkansas, leading police to believe it was stolen. A Texas mom was caught in harrowing video using her 14-year-old daughter as a ?human shield? after a high-speed police chase ? and even shouting at cops to ?shoot? them, according to officials.
Houston-area police initially thought theft suspect Tenescha Selena Henry, 35, was holding a crying hostage in a chokehold during the July 20 standoff and were shocked the girl was actually her daughter. ?At that point, I 100% believed that we had a hostage situation,? Deputy A. Peters told KTRK. ?I distinctly remember her at times saying, ?Shoot! Shoot me! A Texas man whose truck was stolen tracked it down and confronted the suspected thief, killing him in a public shootout. The owner of the Ford truck found it at the South Park Mall in San Antonio and confronted the man who had been driving it and a woman passenger, demanding at gunpoint they get out of the vehicle. The owner then called the police and made the two sit on the ground beside the truck’s tire to wait, but the man pulled his gun and fired at the truck’s owner.
