William Albrecht admits he was speeding but it was because he was headed to a veterinarian’s office after the family dog was hit by a car. Albrecht pleaded with the cop to let him get help for his injured dog. His 16-year-old son was also forced to kneel down and was handcuffed. BERLIN (AP) – Seven people were injured in an accident on Monday at Germany’s biggest theme park, police said. The accident happened at the Europa-Park in the town of Rust, near the French and Swiss borders. The park said that a mobile pool cracked and diving platforms attached to it from which acrobats jump collapsed during a show on Monday afternoon, German news agency dpa reported. Water from the pool flowed into a water ride attraction called Atlantica SuperSplash. Police said that five performers and two visitors were injured, and that three of the performers were taken to a hospital for checks. The cause of the accident wasn’t immediately clear. Videos are surfacing on social media after eight people were taken to the hospital after a shooting Sunday morning occurred in Downtown Memphis, according to police.
The shooting took place about 2:30 a.m, but two hours prior to the shooting video footage shows a group of guys assaulting an officer. The suspect was seen on video squaring up with the officer while the person recording the footage can be heard saying, ?knock his a** out, go ahead beat his a**.? After that altercation a shooting happened at S. B.B. King Boulevard and Peabody Place. ?It was crazy,? said an eyewitness who works at a nearby bar on Beale Street. ?8 to 10 people were trying to jump over our fence and get into our door.? Another witness said he heard the shots ring out and ?can?t fathom the thought of more violence here.? Another witness, Ereale Scott, was asked about how she felt about the ongoing violence in Memphis and she simply responded by saying, ?I?m not surprised.? A Grand Rapids police tracking dog suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run crash. The officer was trapped in the patrol car but was not injured, police said. The other driver fled on foot. The officer had to be freed from his vehicle by Grand Rapids firefighters. He was not hurt. The dog suffered serious injuries and his condition is being evaluated. Posted By Persist |
