A Texas jury sentenced a woman to death Wednesday for killing a pregnant woman she knew to take her unborn daughter.
Jurors returned with the sentence for Taylor Parker, 29, after deliberating for just over an hour, the Texarkana Gazette reported. The same Bowie County jury convicted Parker on Oct. 3 of capital murder in the 2020 slaying of 21-year-old Reagan Simmons-Hancock, whose baby was cut from her womb and did not survive. Posted by JR |

police are investigating a double shooting that occurred on August 19th 2023 on 4500 N 49th street.

A couple is suing a hospital in Riverdale, Georgia, after they say their doctor decapitated their baby during the birth. Jessica Ross, 20, went into labor with her first child on July 9 at Southern Regional Medical Center. The lawsuit claims that after about 10 hours of labor, the baby was stuck and the doctor, Dr. Tracey St. Julian, tried to pull the baby out for hours. The doctor pulled the baby?s head ?so hard and manipulated than so hard that the bones in the baby?s skull, head and neck were broken.? An 8-year-old boy allowed a black widow to bite him because he wanted to become Spider-Man. Black widow spiders are several species of venomous arachnid in the genus (group of species) Latrodectus. In very rare cases, the bites of some widow species have resulted in death?caused by the severe disruption of nerve signals in the body. In general, young children, the elderly and people with underlying health problems are at highest risk from spider bites.
