A Texas man whose truck was stolen tracked it down and confronted the suspected thief, killing him in a public shootout. The owner of the Ford truck found it at the South Park Mall in San Antonio and confronted the man who had been driving it and a woman passenger, demanding at gunpoint they get out of the vehicle. The owner then called the police and made the two sit on the ground beside the truck’s tire to wait, but the man pulled his gun and fired at the truck’s owner. On Wednesday, July 29, 2020, shortly before 5:00 p.m., a Louisiana State Trooper conducted a traffic stop involving a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro on Louisiana Highway 17, near Winnsboro, for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, the Trooper noticed bullet holes in the driver�s side of the vehicle. The driver gave verbal consent for the Trooper to search the vehicle. During the search, the Trooper discovered the deceased body of 23�year-old Michael Robinson Jr. of Monroe, in the trunk. Posted by JR |

WASHINGTON (CNN) – D.C. police are searching for the suspects who shot and killed a Lyft driver that escaped the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan.
They released a video of the incident that shows four people running away from the scene Monday, shortly after 31-year-old Nasrat Ahmad Yar was shot. The Lyft driver was found inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound. and later died at the hospital. According to a GoFundMe page, Ahmad Yar was working an extra shift at the time of the Monday shooting. He is a former Afghan interpreter and immigrated with his family to the U.S. in 2021. The GoFundMe said he was the sole provider for his wife and four children, who are between the ages of 15 months and 13 years. In a statement, Lyft says it is in contact with law enforcement to assist with the investigation. No suspects have been named in the case. Police are offering up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest. Posted by JR |
