His name has not been released as he is underage, and police said they seeking to prosecute him as an adult. The teenager faces charges of attempted murder in the second degree, along with several weapons offenses. Police said other individuals may also be charged in the incident. The shooting happened just after 4 p.m. on Saturday after a group had been turned away from the varsity football game against nearby Binghamton High School. The group of about a dozen people began brawling outside the football field and a pair of security guards rushed in to intervene, footage from the incident showed. Two shots then rang out, and one of the guards collapsed to the ground with a gunshot wound to the back of the head, cops said. He was rushed to the hospital in critical but stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery, according to police.
