Board Member of the Ghana Music Rights Authority (GHAMRO), Mrs. Diana Hopeson has unleashed the potential of the organization to sue Highlife songstress Akosua Agyapong for spreading information about their noble organization.
It has not been long when the Attorney General revoked GHAMRO’s license following a lot of complaints about their code of collection and distribution of royalties to registered artists. Mrs. Diana Hopeson was much concerned about what she claims to be lies that were spread by Akosua Agyapong.
She revealed that the musician in collaboration with other stakeholders have made certain false comments that has tarnished the image of GHAMRO and has caused a lot of people to refrain from patronizing their services.
Mrs. Hopeson revealed how Akosua Agyapong has misled the public that GHAMRO is operating illegally and has failed to fairly collect and distribute royalties. She strongly believes Akosua Agyapong has limited knowledge about their operation and has devised ways to destroy the organization because she is a key person in the Music Industry and for that matter GHAMRO is also ready to take legal actions on her.
She revealed the musician has repeatedly turned down their calls to answer some questions but keeps on spreading lies about GHAMRO.

“Friday Night” hitmaker Lasmid born Lasmid Nathaniel Owusu has left Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music record label. Lasmid, who emerged as winner of MTN Hitmaker Season 8 was best known for rap but later turned out to be a singer. Shortly after he won that competition, music producer and sound engineer Kaywa signed him on his Highly Spiritual Music Record label that gave him many hit songs.
However, for reasons unknown, the artist has decided to part ways with Kaywa after he told Kaywa on several occasions that he wants to leave. Confirmed by Kaywa live on TV, he said he had no choice than to let Lasmid leave as he had planned to.
This sign-off came after Lasmid had many hit songs and this also happened few weeks after his record label colleague, Mr.Drew also left.
SDK REMAINS GRATEFUL TO SHATTA WALE FOR PROMOTING HIS SONG
Ghanaian comedian and musician SDK known in real life as Sadik Sulley has remained grateful to Shatta Wale for promoting his “Cameraman” song, something he never thought of.
SDK disclosed to Amansan Krakye on Property FM that he received Shatta Wale’s message about his like for the song and said he will to do a video for him. All the while SDK thought Shatta Wale was cracking a joke as he used to but not knowing the dancehall artist has taken it very serious. According to SDK, words cannot describe how grateful he is to Shatta Wale for doing such good unto him by promoting his song.
