He calls this new extended play “Society,” a 10-track body of work with just Shatta Wale as a featured artist. This arrives as he prepares for the second edition of his joint concert with Shatta Wale, dubbed ‘The Freedom Wave Concert.’ Even though Medikal has been away from social media for some time, the project is a blatant evidence that he has been working behind the scenes. Masterkraft & Tekno – 10 Sure Oddz For Masterkraft’s latest effort, ’10 Sure Oddz,’ he enlists the help of Ace Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer Tekno, who lends his creative touch to the track. ’10 Sure Oddz’ is an intriguing Afro-fusion song with a danceable sound that will make it’s our to our Christmas playlist.  It’s clear in this song that Masterkraft and Tekno are incredibly talented. Zinoleesky – Personal Following his collaboration with Nigerian producer Rexxie on ‘No Condition,’ Zinoleesky continues his stellar run this year with another tune. The talented street-hop musician from Nigeria ends the year with a brand-new solo track he calls “Personal,” which was produced by Baby Beat. Personal’ is another monster jam that is sure to shut down dance floors all over the world this Christmas, with its captivating fusion of afrobeats, amapiano and electronic music that we have come to expect from Zinoleesky. Lyrically though, the Lagos-based musician is in rare form on ‘Personal’, as he shows us a more introspective side to his artistry, waxing poetic about the struggles he has faced as an ambitious artist on the rise. Prior to the release, Zinoleesky shared a sneak peek of the song on his social media timelines, which generated massive attention and increased anticipation for the release. Undoubtedly, in the upcoming weeks, this song will reach the top of several Afrobeat charts. Runtown – Signs (ALBUM) Runtown’s strength as an artist has always been rooted in his solid understanding of prevalent mainstream pop sensibilities. It does not change as he returns to the music scene with Signs following 2021’s Soundgod Fest Reloaded. The 13-track project assumes a gentle, pensive and introspective mood. He trades the high-energy moments that outlined earlier projects like his debut Ghetto University for midtempo production and lax delivery, which sit faultlessly within Afropop’s current soundscape. “For many people, it might feel like their first time hearing me on songs like these,” Runtown tells Apple Music. “It might even seem like they’re listening to a new artist. But it’s mostly me going back to the basics with a fresh spin.” Signs spares no feelings as it floats between themes of love, faith and growth while delving into genres like sultry ’80s pop, Afropop and reggae and showcasing a wiser, more grown-up version of Runtown. Intentionality, depth and refinement are the leading markers of this. On “Sinnerman”, he recognises the imperfections in his actions and calls for understanding stating that “at the end of the day, I am only a man”. The project’s lead single, “Things I Know”, is characterised by its smooth synths reminiscent of his 2016 megahit, “Mad Over You”. “Dangerous Hearts” samples Sade’s “The Sweetest Taboo” while the singer calls on his love interest with melodies spruced up by Mr Hudson. Kofi Kinaata – Everyday What would Christmas be without a masterpiece from Kofi Kinaata? Ghanaian artist and songwriter Kofi Kinaata is ending the year with a brand-new song named “Everyday,” as he does every year. The song ‘Everyday’ is a feel-good number about living your best life every day and having no regrets. The song’s subject matter is perfect for the holiday season, where people want to celebrate and have a good time. Kofi Jamar – Tomorrow “Tomorrow,” Kofi Jamar’s most recent song, showcases yet another facet of his artistic talent. His early tracks tended to be more Hardcore Rap, but “Tomorrow” is a masterpiece that is more exciting and animated. “Tomorrow” is a very versatile and well-made song. Twitch 4Eva – Hold On, This Is The Direction (ALBUM) One of Ghana’s top vocalists and songwriters, Twitch 4Eva, has released a brand-new album to close off the year. Twitch 4Eva releases a 3-track music project titled “Hold On, This Is The Direction,” which he adds to the three solo albums he has previously released this year. Fameye is its sole featured artist. The project reveals his artistic and musical goals for the upcoming months. Naira Marley – Girls Just Wanna Have Funds Naira Marley recently released ‘Vawulence’ with Gambian-British rapper, BackRoad Gee, and it’s clear that he’s enjoying his brand-new “gangpaino” genre as he releases yet another record. On the new song, Girls Just Wanna Have Funds, the rapper and vocalist states the obvious. Naira Marley’s fourth release of the year is Girls Wanna Have Funds, which was produced by the talented beatmaker Vibes Ace. Lasmid – Running Without a doubt, Lasmid has shown that he is a not one-hit wonder. This year, he gave us with back-to-back smashes like Friday Night and Atele. He’s also worked on tracks with other Ghanaian musicians that have achieved commercial success. He is returning to make a name for himself with the year’s final song, “Running.” The song “Running” is a beautiful song that was made to suit the tastes of all listeners, and it shows Lasmid’s artistic brilliance. RJZ – Don’t Call Me After taking a break, Ghanaian recording artist RJZ is back with a brand-new tune to properly end the year. RJZ follows up his first single, “Don’t Hate Me,” with “Don’t Call Me,” his second single of the year, which is based on an anecdote. The song, which Synesthetic produced, is about a woman RJZ greatly admired in high school but was actually in love with someone else. The aforementioned lady began to show attraction to RJZ just as his music career was beginning to rise exponentially, but he was now more preoccupied with his music career. The storylines in RJZ’s songs are usually compelling and relatable to practically every listener, and this song is no exception. This is good music, and we endorse it.
