According to the NY Post, classmates of Flint Southwestern Academy High School were feuding intensely during class, prompting their teacher to diffuse the situation. The teenagers yelled obscenities and threats back and forth; one student could be heard calling the other ?big as f-k.? “A Charlotte County family is speaking out, for help in filing a complaint with the US Department of Justice.
The family says they have seen a shift in their daughter’s self-esteem since the alleged racial attacks started happening at school. “I just kinda went to the corner, I put my hands up and I just sat there and took it,” Clay said, referring to a time when her volleyball teammates were on video allegedly saying she didn’t pick her cotton today and hit her with pillows. Officer Daniel Auderer was responding to an incident where Jaahnavi Kandula, 23, was killed near her university. In the video, the officer is heard suggesting the Indian student’s life had “limited value” and the city should “just write a check”. The officer has said his comments were taken out of context.
