The deputies gave Robert Boozer numerous commands to drop the knife. Boozer ignored the deputies? commands and charged at them while holding the knife, at which point a deputy-involved shooting occurred. Boozer was struck by gunfire, dropped the knife, and fell to the ground. Deputies rendered first aid until the arrival of the Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics who pronounced Boozer dead at the scene. The stabbing victim, Boozer’s father, sustained multiple stab wounds to his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene. A knife, with an approximate nine-inch blade, was recovered at the scene. Two teens from Las Vegas have been arrested and are facing murder charges in connection with the fatal hit-and-run of 64-year-old Andreas ?Andy? Probst, a retired chief of police for the city of Bell, as he was riding his bike in a residential area of Las Vegas last month. The incident, which authorities at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are calling intentional, occurred on Aug. 14 near Tenaya Way and Centennial Parkway in a neighborhood community approximately 16 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. Officers arrived at the scene just after 6 a.m. and found the 64-year-old cyclist suffering from life-threatening injuries. Probst was taken to UMC Trauma where he later died of his injuries. On Aug. 31, detectives located the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run and identified the 17-year-old male teenage driver. He was arrested and booked into Clark County Juvenile Hall. “Police are searching for a 17-year-old they believe is responsible for the stabbing death of a Brooklyn man, a source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN.
The 28-year-old man was fatally stabbed at a Brooklyn gas station Saturday night in what police are investigating as a possible anti-gay hate crime, an NYPD spokesperson told CNN. O’Shae Sibley was dancing – vogueing – to a Beyoncé song with friends at the gas station when a group of men approached them and started to shout gay slurs at them, Sibley’s friend Otis Pena said on Facebook Live. The anti-gay slurs eventually led to a dispute, the NYPD spokesperson said. Pena, who witnessed the incident, said the argument escalated and one man stabbed Sibley. Pena said he went to Sibley’s aid and put pressure on his wound. Police said Sibley was stabbed in the torso. He was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police. Sibley was a professional dancer who was featured in several music videos and also performed at New York City’s renowned Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, according to the organization’s website.” – CNN |
