New Play Coming to Cultural Center of the Philippines

Catch Rody Vera’s ANAK DATU at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ new black box theater, Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez, Cultural Center of the Philippines.

This coming September, watch out for Tanghalang Pilipino’s multi-universe, post-pandemic production that banners PEACE through the intertwining of conflicts in a folk tale, a stark social realism, and an all-too-familiar family drama.

This inaugural production in CCP’s newly built Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez will feature the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company, with special guests Nanding Josef, Tex Ordonez De Leon, Carlos Dala, and Sining Kambayoka’s Hash Magarang, under a formidable Artistic Team led by Director Chris Millado.

Based on the original story by National Artist Abdulmari Imao, the play will showcase starting on September 16 to October 9, 2022.8.17
