Jackson Wang drops flashy music video for new single ‘Blow’

Jackson Wang, who is also a member of the K-pop boyband GOT7, has dropped a brand-new English-language single ‘Blow’.

Wang unveiled the new song today with an accompanying music video, which sees a group of unconscious party-goers sprawled across the floor, breathing in a smoke-like substance. Among them is Wang, who begins dancing with the group upon gaining consciousness.

I felt her coming and I couldn’t escape / I’m in the belly of the beast again / My dirty secret that keeps me awake / Don’t stop now, you got me ready to blow,” he sings in the pre-chorus.

According to a press statement, ‘Blow’ is the first look at Wang’s ‘Magic Man’ persona, as hinted at the end of the music video. The persona will act as the main inspiration for the creation and direction of his forthcoming album of the same name.

Hours before ‘Blow”s official release, Wang took to Twitter to speak with fans on the new song. When asked by one Twitter user if he was “ready to break new records with this new song and album”, Wang responded: “Don’t know, cuz I can’t control tht. All I [can] do is give 200% of me.”

The release of ‘Blow’ comes shortly after Wang dropped the English-language mixtape ‘LOST & FOUND’ earlier this month, comprising eight old songs he had previously recorded but left unreleased.

In light of ‘LOST & FOUND”s release, his label Team Wang had also hinted that the singer is in the process of “cooking something bigger” for the future. Wang had previously shared last August that he had prepared over 20 new songs for his upcoming solo record.
