Bus Om Bebek is a 2022 musical comedy-drama genre film directed by Aditya Gumay and Ouzan Ruz. Released earlier this year (2022) in Indonesia by Smaradana Pro production house, it consists of six soundtracks, with one of the tracks being sung by Ria Ricis.

Produced by Ruben Onsu and starred by Aziz Gagap, Sarwendah, Zara Leola and Adhiyat, Bus Om Bebek tells the story of Om Bebek (Aziz Gagap), who wants to retire from his job as a school bus driver.

This film invites children to ignite their creativity through playing in nature. That big dreams do not just come to those who stay at home for too long. With the concept of a musical drama, this film presents a fun and cheerful atmosphere and is suitable for family time consumption.

Aditya Gumay is known regionally and Indonesia through the successes like “Emak Ingin Naik Haji”, “Ada Surga Di Rumahmu” and “Rumah Tanpa Jendela”. The film producer is the man behind the success of many entertainers and TV personalities who joined his theater groups Sanggar Ananda (@sanggar.ananda) and Teater Kawula Muda. Sanggar Ananda was opened in 1986 to pioneer children’s programs and develop young talent for TV series and sitcoms. One of his most successful works was Lenong Bocah, a children’s sitcom released in 1994 made in the style of traditional Betawi comedy skits.

Bus Om Bebek is funded by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia (Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif) or Kemenparekraf.
