Luckily neither the man, his family, nor any community members were hurt.

Edmonton police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday evening in the Ormsby Place neighborhood.

Several 911 callers reported gunshots in the area of Ormsby Crescent around 6:45 p.m.

Police say a man was out for a walk with his family, including two young children, when a red Nissan Rogue was driven up behind them.

Two masked people got out of the SUV and started to chase the man southeast through the green space between Ormsby Crescent and Ormsby Road East while shooting at him. They eventually returned to their SUV and left the area.

“What I do want to convey was how absolutely irresponsible this act was, electing to shoot up a neighborhood filled with families in broad daylight. We could easily be talking about life-threatening injuries or homicides here today,” said Acting Insp. Eric Stewart of the Edmonton Police Service’s Organized Crime Branch during a Wednesday news conference. Posted by Abdul

It can be hard to believe UFO sightings when they’re reported and filmed by random people who live by themselves in the middle of nowhere. But when they’re filmed by NASA, it’s a whole different ball game.

This black object was filmed by a camera aboard the International Space Station for 22 minutes before it moved above the camera’s range. Allegedly the object was bus-sized.

The UFO bears a striking resemblance to the Black Knight Satellite, an object that some people believe is of extra-terrestrial origins, and has been orbiting Earth for thousands of years. Of course, all of this is just conjecture, but the object was interesting enough for ISS crew to film it for 22 minutes.

“It appears to be going up because it’s on a slightly different trajectory as it goes around the Earth,” Aren commented. That makes sense, and points to the object being some sort of satellite or even space debris.

“This is some old footage of a hatch cover that floated away,” davidandcricket suggested. While that is a possibility, I was unable to find any version of this footage posted before this year.

The ISS is obviously a state-of-the-art operation, and it’s frustrating to see its cameras suffer from the standard dip in fidelity when filming UFOs. We’ll chock this one up to a satellite. Posted By Ghost

DETROIT (FOX 2) – Detroit Police have announced the arrest of two suspects for attempting to steal a gun from a Detroit Police Officer who was attacked at a gas station on Saturday.

Police Chief James White announced in a press conference on Monday that the two suspects were minors and were in custody. He said they were both arrested in Southfield with the help of their attorney but provided no other details

White credited the officer for not firing his gun as he was jumped inside of a gas station Saturday evening.

The attack happened at a BP gas station located near the Southfield Freeway and Joy Road early Saturday evening. The officer, who was wearing his Detroit police uniform but was off-duty, was gearing up for a shift at the Taylor Swift concert downtown. Around 5:30 p.m. he was paying for his fuel inside the station when the two men attacked.

One of the suspects was armed with a 9 mm Glock handgun and Chief James White said on Saturday that one of the men had been able to get a hold of the officer’s gun. The officer eventually wrestled the gun back from the man and, despite having a gun pointed at him, he didn’t fire a single shot.
