Wet Leg, WILLOW, The Kid LAROI and more added to Summer Sonic Festival lineup

The 2023 edition of Japan’s long-running Summer Sonic Festival has added several new acts to its phase 2 lineup including Wet Leg, The Kid LAROI, Two Door Cinema Club and more.

Other newly announced acts include Slowthai, Honne, WILLOW, AI, Awich, [ALEXANDROS], TREASURE and more.

Kendrick Lamar, Blur, Fall Out Boy and Liam Gallagher were previously announced as the festival’s headliners alongside Niall Horan, Evanescence, YOASOBI, LANY and more at Tokyo’s Zozomarine Stadium and Makuhari Messe on August 19 and in Osaka’s Maishima Sonic Park on August 20. More acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Advanced tickets to Summer Sonic are now on sale via the official Summer Sonic website for JYP18,000 for single day passes and JYP31,000 for Platinum 2-day passes. General tickets go on sale on May 27 at 6pm local time.

The 2022 edition of the festival saw The 1975 joining Post Malone as headliners, alongside the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, The Libertines and St. Vincent also performing. It was the first in-person edition of the festival to be held since 2019, though a mini version of the festival dubbed Supersonic was held in 2021.

That event featured Zedd, Alan Walker and Steve Aoki in its lineup.
