Tagoe Sisters Are Being Honored With 32 Song Titles That Testify To God’s Goodness And His Son Jesus

Written by on 30/10/2022

Tagoe Sisters was, and perhaps still is, the epitome of Ghanaian gospel music.
Since their arrival on the music scene decades ago, the identical twins have been serenading Ghanaians at home and abroad with their soul-stirring gospel-based songs.
Lydia Dedei Tagoe (Now Mrs. Yawson) and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe were born on July 27, 1960, to Mr Hammond Ayikwei Tagoe of Korle-Wokon, an Accra suburb, and Theresa Aidoo of Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region. Their names imply that they, too, are Gs, just like me.
Their music ruled supreme from birth (Outdoor baptisms), to adulthood (Confirmation celebrations), marriage (Wedding receptions), and death (Funeral receptions). The lyrics are designed to make you forget about your problems, if only for a few period.
Joy Entertainment will pay tribute to these gospel music luminaries on Friday, October 1.
32 titles of their songs have been stitched together as a testimony of God’s goodness and His son Jesus to participate in honouring these song birds.
