Earlier today (June 30), Philippines-based events company Be You announced that the American-Korean sinfer will be making her way to Manila on September 30 for a special ‘Zoom’ event. Further details regarding the event, including the venue, ticketing and more have yet to be revealed, but are expected in the coming weeks.

Jessi’s upcoming concert in Manila will mark the Korean-American idol’s first time performing in the Southeast Asian country for a stand-alone event. The ‘Nuna Nana’ singer was previously announced as part of the line-up for KV Fest in Jakarta, Indonesia, which will also feature B.I, Afgan, Ramengvrl and more.
Meanwhile, Jessi was recently reported to have stepped down from her role as the host of the popular online SBS talk show Showterview, with Sunmi set to take over the role. However, she later spoke out on social media, claiming that she was “replaced” by the production team.
“I took a break. We weren’t sure if we were going to come back or not, most likely we weren’t. But, nothing was finalised, but I guess, you know, someone, my friend Sunmi, she, uh, they replaced me,” Jessi said. Neither SBS nor Sunmi have yet to confirm Jessi’s claims.
Jessi most recently dropped the viral hit single ‘Zoom’ in April, the music video for which notably featured dance group LACHICA (of Street Woman Fighter fame), who choreographed the track’s dance sequences.
